Criss Angel Las Vegas Show Canceled After Stunt Goes Wrong

Angel, 49, was performing his dangeorus, upside-down straitjacket escape stunt during his " MindFreak Live!" show at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas when he suddenly lost consciousness and was rushed to the hospital.

Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Angel's reps for an update on his condition, but has yet to receive a response; however, THR notes that tickets for Saturday's Luxur show are still on sale.

"He is undergoing additional testing today and while it is not yet certain, it is his hope to return to the stage in his hit show MINDFREAK LIVE! at Luxor Las Vegas tonight". Angel was lowered down and rushed to Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center. He stopped moving, curtain down.

There are multiple tweets and posts on Facebook referencing an incident and saying that the early show was canceled not long after it began.

It wasn't a case of me just getting through the round today, it was more to do with building on a score if I already had. Johnson missed six putts from less than 6 feet in the round. "I didn't feel it at all so it's all positive".

Continuing with her statement of Angel's mishap, his rep said he was thankful for the overwhelming love and concern his fans from all around the world have shown during this time. "In his absence, a representative of HELP, the non‐profit Criss created to find a cure for pediatric cancer, presented Make‐A‐Wish with a $100,000 donation".

Members in the audience took to social media to report Friday's accident, also sharing that they were given full refunds after the show.

Neither Angel's team nor anyone at MGM Resorts has specified what exactly went wrong Friday leading to the illusionist's hospitalization, though a publicist did tell E! Angel's fans and the audience were concerned, though some people attending the performance were unhappy the show was halted after a break of about 15 minutes. "Then the crew and cast from the show got a stole and they untied him and brought him off stage".

Criss suffered a shoulder injury when he performed a similar stunt similar to this in New York City's Times Square in 2013.
