Doing little things to make a bold change on International Women's Day

It is marked on March 8 every year to celebrate womanhood, the countless achievements of women across the world, their endless struggles, and fights for equal rights. While Women's March organizers support "Reproductive Freedom", demanding access to birth control and safe, legal abortions, about 40 percent of women in America believe abortions should be illegal in all or most cases, according to a Pew Research poll conducted in January. In 1913 Russian women observed their first International Women's Day on the last Saturday in February (by Julian calendar then used in Russia). To be bold for change.

USA Today gets more granular on how people can participate-take the day off, give female employees the day off if you own a business-as well as where rallies are taking place across the country and why red is the shade to sport. Organizers say if women absolutely can not take the day off from work tomorrow, they should still wear red in solidarity with other women. Starting at 11:30 a.m.at the Freedom Plaza in D.C., nearly 40 organizations are sponsoring a protest against the Global Gag Rule (Mexico City Policy), one of the first actions President Donald Trump took after entering office.

Wednesday is International Women's Day, and YWCA La Crosse is joining allies and women across the country in a one-day demonstration of economic solidarity.

The event organizer, Jennifer Boyland, says this day is not about the recent election, but that the election was a symbol of a larger problem going on in the world regarding how women are treated culturally.

Marine Le Pen Faces Another Scandal on EP Fund Misuse
Ms Le Pen will lead in the first round of voting with 27 per cent, followed by Mr Macron with 25 per cent and Mr Fillon with 19 per cent, the poll showed.

I have never taken part in a public protest. Here's how you can participate in the Women's Strike no matter where you live. "Many women in our most vulnerable communities will not have the ability to join the strike, due to economic insecurity".

"We are not lost to the fact that women in Kenya and all over the world go through several challenges".

This year's theme is "Women in the changing world of work: planet 50-50 by 2030". A Day Without A Woman was created to support women and all gender-oppressed people, through demonstrations, strikes and other acts of economic solidarity. However, the event has been on the receiving end of criticism in recent days since many are saying it unfairly favors privileged women who can afford to take a day off of work.
