Martin Scorsese's 'The Irishman' Heads to Netflix From Paramount
No other details have been given about the film at the time and Netflix would not comment on their purchase. The film's potential $100 million budget comes with possible risks.

While the live-action "Beauty and the Beast" film may be on all Disney fans' minds after last night's premiere, today it's Mary Poppins that takes center stage. After Michael suffers a personal loss, the enigmatic nanny Mary Poppins (Blunt) re-enters the lives of the Banks family, and, along with the optimistic street lamplighter Jack (Miranda), uses her unique magical skills to help the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives.

The film's director is Rob Marshall, whose previous work includes Chicago and Into The Woods, while the script is being produced by Finding Neverland writer David Magee. The film hits theaters Christmas Day 2018.

Set in 1930s depression-era London, the story finds kids Michael (Ben Whishaw) and Jane (Emily Mortimer) all grown up. Marc Shaiman is composing an all-new score; he and Scott Wittman are collaborating in writing the original songs.
