One of the Celtics' biggest foes for the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference was dealt a giant blow on Monday. They are only 2.5 games ahead of the fifth-place Atlanta Hawks, so losing Lowry for what looks like at least the rest of the regular season could cost Toronto home-court advantage in the first round of the postseason.

In 56 games he's played in this season, Kyle Lowry averaged 22.8 points and 6.9 assists per game while shooting 46.3 percent from the field, 41.7 percent beyond the arc. The Boston Celtics (38-21) and the Washington Wizards (34-23) lead the Raptors by three games and mere percentage points in the Eastern Conference standings, respectively.
