Virginia Governor Vetoes Bill Cutting Funding to Planned Parenthood

According to the governor's veto message, "lawful profession" and "recreational activity" are not defined by Virginia law. "Virginians, and particularly low-income Virginians, need more access to health care, not less", the governor said while he vetoed the bill.

Accordingly, I veto this bill.

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe vetoed a bill that would have slashed funding to Planned Parenthood, while lawmakers in MI are pushing similar legislation forward.

"This important legislation would have prioritized taxpayer dollars toward providers of more comprehensive health care services, and the governor's veto undermines those efforts to improve health care in rural and underserved areas", Cline said in a statement.

The governor said in his veto message that the bill "reflects an incomplete understanding of weapons qualification practices within our military and is an unwarranted expansion in the number of people allowed to carry handguns in the Commonwealth".

The recall covers the NZ$550,000 Aventador and the Veneno models which sold for between NZ$5.6 million to NZ$6.3m. This can lead on to the vapors of vehicle to contact hot gasses that can eventually cause fire in the auto .

Democrat leaders, however, defended Planned Parenthood.

This bill, aimed at Planned Parenthood, would harm tens of thousands of Virginians who rely on the health care services and programs provided by Planned Parenthood health centers, by denying them access to affordable care. Benjamin L. Cline (R) and passed the state Senate last week on a 20-19 vote. "They take us in the wrong direction". It's for men and women.

A similar bill prohibiting Medicaid funds to any abortion provider passed the Virginia state legislature past year. Planned Parenthood Votes donated nearly $1.2 million to McAuliffe's 2013 campaign for governor.

Since Planned Parenthood performs abortions for any reason beyond what federal government would cover, HB 2264 effectively would have blocked government funding for Planned Parenthood and any other abortion clinic in the state.

Elected in 2013, the Virginia Democrat has received almost $1.9 million in campaign donations from Planned Parenthood organizations.
