North Korea Wants to Block New Autopsy on Leader's Half-Brother

North Korea Wants to Block New Autopsy on Leader's Half-Brother

Malaysian police told Reuters on Friday that they would not release the body to the North Korean embassy as they had not received an application from his next of kin. He will be remanded for seven days.

Malaysian police were questioning three suspects - Aisyah, another woman who carried a Vietnamese passport, and a man they said is Aisyah's boyfriend.

A auto belonging to the North Korean embassy was seen entering the compound of the police headquarters about 4.15pm which intensified speculation that embassy representatives were meeting the fourth suspect detained in its lock-up.

Malaysian police issued a statement on Wednesday saying that the man was a 46-year-old from the DPRK who it identified as Kim Chol, born on June 10, 1970 in Pyongyang, based on his travel documents.

Jong-nam, 45, was killed by two women who splashed his face with a chemical at the KLIA2 departure hall at about 9am on Monday as he was about to leave for Macau. Speaking to reporters outside the morgue late Friday, Pyongyang's ambassador said Malaysian officials may be "trying to hide something" and "colluding with hostile forces".

A source close to the Malaysian prime minister's office said police were still waiting for an autopsy.

That man is believed to be a spy, and he introduced Huong to the four male suspects authorities are still searching for, the newspaper said.

The Indonesian, identified as Siti Aishah, 25, is the second woman arrested in the case. Reports said that Siti Aisyah, a divorcee, worked as a guest relations officer at a spa in Ampang.

The arrests brought the number of people detained in the case to three.

Pakistan Claims Valentine's Day Promotes Nudity and Indecency. So they Banned it
Some in Pakistan have already met the new ban with criticism, protesting the ban of a day they say recognizes and celebrates love. The Islamabad High Court has banned the celebration of Valentine in all public places including government offices in Pakistan.

The Indonesian woman was alone when she was apprehended, police said.

A grainy image broadcast in South Korea and Malaysia showed a woman running in the airport, wearing a white T-shirt with the letters "LOL" written on the front.

There have, however, been some local reports that there were no wounds or puncture marks found on Kim Jong Nam's body, meaning that scientists must wait for toxicology results. Kim Hyon-hui, who bombed a Korean Air jet in 1987 after being trained as a North Korean agent, said: "They don't seem to have taken strict psychological and physical education and training in North Korea".

Malaysia hit back by saying the country's rules must be followed.

The CCTV footage shows that the attack by the two women was carried out at 8.59am.

Doan then took a taxi to Sky Star Hotel in Salak Tinggi, reaching it in about 10 minutes, and went up to Room 209.

Because it is so reclusive, intelligence on North Korea is very thin and the North Korean regime is likely to balk at the prospect of Malaysia - and potentially other intelligence services - having DNA information that could be used for other purposes.

"Even if it put him in danger, he wanted to tell his opinions to Pyongyang through me or other media", Yoji Gomi said in Tokyo.

Diplomatic ties between the two countries have rapidly cooled after North Korean ambassador Kang Chol accused Malaysia of colluding with "hostile forces" to withhold the body of Kim's estranged older brother.
