The OA renewed for Season 2; makers release teaser of season 2

The OA renewed for Season 2; makers release teaser of season 2

It's also incredibly rare that Netflix doesn't renew an original series for a second season, with critical failures like Flaked also getting picked up for another season.

It seemed that the first question was answered on 8 February 2017 via The OA's Twitter and Facebook accounts.

The OA centers on young Missouri woman Prairie Johnson (Marling) who - missing since age 7 - mysteriously resurfaces. The news came on the same day that Netflix announced the Orange is the New Black Season 5 release date and that Love had had been renewed for a third season. She comes back changed: she had been blind, but her sight has been restored, and she now calls herself The OA. She refuses to tell any authority figures what happened to her in the interim, and instead relies on a group of five locals to convey her life story and, she hopes, rescue other people who are being held captive.

Reckless President Trump Just Threatened To Invade Mexico
At a press conference with UK Prime Minister Theresa May last week, Trump also described his call with Pena Nieto as " friendly ". Both the US and Mexico governments deny the call was threatening, but it's still generating plenty of reaction.

Marling's costars include Emory Cohen of "Brooklyn", Scott Wilson of "The Walking Dead", and "Harry Potter" star Jason Isaacs.

We don't know much more than that at this stage, beyond the fact that it refers to the follow-up installment as "Part II" and that it's not yet confirmed for any specific release window.

During a press event held in New York, Batmanglij revealed he and Marling have yet to begin working on the next season.
