Judge Dismisses Homicide Charges Against Former Wrestler 'Superfly' Snuka

Homicide charges brought against longtime wrestling star Jimmy "Superfly " Snuka in relation to the death of a former girlfriend were officially dropped Tuesday.

At a hearing last month to re-evaluate Snuka's mental fitness, his wife told the judge that the family struggles to keep him from leaving home during bouts of psychosis in which he thinks he's late for a wrestling match.

According to People, the judge granted Snuka's attorney Robert J. Kirwan's request to dismiss the charges after supplying the 72-year-old's medical records.

Prosecutors accused Snuka of killing his former girlfriend at a motel outside Allentown back in 1983.

Snuka's lawyers quickly turned the trial into a complete farce, arguing that Snuka wasn't mentally competent to stand trial due to brain trauma - which they blamed on concussion damage over the years - and advanced age in general.

The matter to urge Sri Lanka to immediately release arrested Tamil fishermen with their boats was also raised during the meeting. Today, he was finally nominated working president of the DMK, with powers similar to that of the party president.

Snuka was facing third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter charges. This was quickly contradicted by Snuka continuing to book autograph signings and personal appearances, but Judge Kelly Banach decided that Snuka was unable to stand trial in 2015, and dismissed all charges after months of delays and medical tests.

However, the Allentown Morning Call discovered that Snuka had pleaded guilty to harassment for a violent confrontation with Argentino four months before her death.

"We are considering over our options and will decide what action to take at a later date", said Meg Weiand of the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office. Snuka acknowledged the incident in his 2012 autobiography, denying that he is not responsible for her death.

"Unfortunately justice suffers when it's delayed", she said at the time.
